10 New Years Eve Dresses More Fun than Most Parties

With New Years Eve just over two weeks away, it is definitely time to get your NYE outfit! Today I wanted to share with you 10 dresses that are absolutely stunning and would be perfect for a New Years eve party. Heck, as the title of this post implies these are dresses that are way more fun than most NYE parties are!

The photo above is from a New Years Eve style post that Bree (The Urban Umbrella) and I did two years ago! Time flies. I have always loved New Years Eve for the excuse to wear a fun, sparkly dress. I am still not sure of what my plans are for this New Years Eve (... tell me I'm not the only one!? #ProcrastinatorOverHere) I do know though that whatever I do, I'll be wearing a fun dress.

Do any of you have any New Years Eve traditions? I've been on pinterest way too much recently; and have seen a number of cool NYE traditions. Two of my favorites have been: 1) writing 'messages in a bottle' listing your favorite memories from the year, to be opened next NYE and;
2) a really fun party idea where you have to 'recreate' your favorite day from the entire year by wearing what you wore that day, or ordering the meal you had and bringing it to the party to share, etc. Let me know of any NYE traditions you have; I want to start some!

Okay, back to the fashion! Scroll through the images below (click on any to be taken to the dress) for my top 10 picks for New Years Eve party dresses.

Gift Guide | Gifts for Coworkers

There are so many great gift ideas for coworkers - ideas that go beyond the classic (over done) bottle of wine or Starbucks gift card. Check out this guide!

Let's be honest, some of the hardest people on your gift-buying list are probably your coworkers! These are the people you spend a ton of time with, and hopefully there are some you really get along with who make your day better. They deserve a great gift this holiday season, and I've rounded up a series of gifts that would be great.

I also know that a lot of people do office secret santa and/or gift-stealing type of present games. I wanted to make sure I included a number of items here that would be great gifts for an office gift exchange - where you may not know who the gift is for and thus want something that would appeal to a number of different people. Here goes!

1. Minimergency Kit: This would make such a great gift for any of your female coworkers! I have one of these that I keep in my briefcase at all times. It has saved me on more than one ocassion. I recommend every woman carry one in their purse. Basically this is a kit of emergency essentials - from bobby pins, to earring backings, to double sided tape and a band-aid. Basically, this tiny kit has your back.

2. "I survived another meeting that could have been an email" mug:
But really though, what coworker wouldn't get a kick out of this mug?! This is probably my favorite gift idea in this entire guide.

3. Phone Holder:
This gooseneck clamp phone holder is especially perfect for an office gift exchange as it would be useful for so many different people and it is under $20. The great thing about it is it can hold any mobile device so it is versatile!

4. Rose Gummy Bears Cocktail Kit: This is the cutest little kit I have ever seen. It's designed for travel, but I think would be great to keep on hand in your kitchen. It makes a rose cocktail with all the necessary add-on's; including sugarfina rose gummy bears.

5. "Drinking wine from a mug to keep things professional" mug: Hehe I know I've already got a mug in this gift guide but, come on, this is way too good!

6. Knick Knack Tiered Dishes: I love how beautiful this tray looks - it would be great for jewelry at home but also would work in an office setting. It looks way more expensive and luxe than it is - as it is under $40! Score!

7. Mug Warmer: This is a great little gift - and at under $10 it is ideal for anyone doing a office-wide gift exchange on a budget. Who doesn't want to be able to keep their coffee warm as they drink it!?

8. Tea Collection: For any coworker that loves tea, this is a great little sampler collection. Highly recommended!

Work Wear | Holiday Office Wear

similar blouse //  similar skirt // black pumps // Michael Kors bag // Necklace (20% off with code LegalLee)

Happy Monday! I wear this look every year around this time. It is my favorite way to feel like I am in the Christmas spirit while still being work appropriate. It brings a bit of festivity to an office environment!

My skirt and shirt are both old - the skirt is from J Crew and the top from H&M. I have however found two similar red pencil skirts and, the best part, they are both under $60! I have also linked up two similar white blouses - the one is the same one I am wearing from H&M except it has black trim, which is so beautiful!

The red and white outfit is, clearly, festive on it's own but given the time of year I wanted to add a bit of extra sparkle to the outfit; more than I would likely wear to work other than during the holidays. So, I accessorized the look with a pair of crystal statement earrings and one of my favorite statement necklaces - the Lucy crystal collar from Olive and Piper. Don't forget you can always get 20% off anything at O&P (code is LegalLee).

I hope you are all in for a productive but fun work week ahead. I am working insane hours Monday- Wednesday (day and night court) but I am excited for things to slow down come Thursday and Thursday night I am having a little Christmas get-together at my place for friends to come over and wrap their Christmas presents, write their Christmas cards etc. Basically an excuse to hang out with friends during such a busy time of year without feeling guilty since everyone will be getting their Christmas present/card prep done!
